Come Take my Hand

Come Take My Hand

Take my hand,

walk through this world with me,

you know there’s most anything I’d do for you

and anywhere you are, is paradise for me.

Take my hand and let’s wander,

it doesn’t matter where we go –

just that you are there beside me.

When I think of a world without you in it,

all the brightness begins to dim,

the sun refuses to shine

and all the colors turn to shades of gray.

I know that if I could I’d make you a crown of stars,

have the sun and the moon follow you everywhere,

I’d scatter a carpet of rose petals beneath your feet

and weave a bed of stardust.

If I could I’d protect you from the dangers this world holds,

but the best I can do is include you in my prayers each night.

Love is a wondrous thing,

as fragile and precious as crystal,

as shiny and bright as diamonds,

as valuable as gold –

as long as there is someone special to hold.

Love will never grow cold,

so take my hand and let’s bravely march into the future,

we don’t know what we may have to face,

but as long as we stand side by side,

we can handle all the laughter and the tears.

As each weary day is through,

I’m willing to cradle and hold you,

to kiss away the fears and worries –

until a brand new day shines upon us.

Bringing new joys and sorrows,

so trust in me, my love,

let me lead you along the way,

to show you how great a love can be –

I’m yours for now till eternity.

A very romantic, smooth flowing piece Rasma, very much enjoyed. One thing line 4, stanza 1, ‘and anywhere with you is paradise for me,’ ? Take care
