Each Day a Bliss

As glistening worlds dissipate
upon new-born leaves of green,
and as sun does ascend
the pale blue beginnings of day,
those orbs in reflection diminish,
until they become a memory of morn,
diamond glitter upon the lawn,
as the heat of summer’s affray
wakes slumbered minds to the present.
My blackbird sings of everything,
exuberant melodic chatter
that echoes clean upon the silent breeze,
and he, perched up high upon the fig,
announces life with such joy,
I in stillness, listen truly,
for his truth is boundless,
his every note so true,
as stillness watches with pride.
Morn commits as sun in arc delivers its day,
summers warmth and tranquility
my servility to nature’s ways,
endings but beginnings from her wondrous gaze,
and silently my heart is filled
with all the possibility that day may bring,
and human thoughts so paled
when faced with unending truth,
of life in cascade of beginnings.
Each day begins this way,
birdsong uplifting all I praise,
and beginnings mark change in endless play,
hearts greet the new, expectation renewed,
as I open all I am to meet whatever may
bring this human mind to joy,
knowing that life is beautiful,
for eyes to acknowledge,
and a heart to accept each day, a bliss.

Such a glorious way to start each day and such a beautiful way you have expressed it, Tony. I can almost hear your blackbird’s song as he greets you with joy. Your verse is the work of a master my friend. Take care.
Too kind Phyllis, and I appreciated your support and never-ending kindness. I am blessed with life and not a day goes by that I do not acknowledge it. Take care and have a Happy New Year and lets hope for some changes in a world that needs more than a few miracles. Take care
