Describing the Goddess
The Goddess
‘Tis folly to try,
Yet again an attempt
With but pen and a sheet
My decree should be sent
Yes, a message of breadth
Nay, a statement of length
Forged ‘o thine memory
Cast in verse eloquent
Each word ’tis necessary
Punctuation precise
Exquisitely rendered
And edited thrice
The Goddess my tale
Her description my task
My words hence to write
With none else to ask
Every day, every lifetime
Sorting the beauty
On her magickal path
‘Tis an honorable duty
Whence to start, do ask
Such a time honored question
And how much to include
Or to leave to suggestion
In the past or the now
Oh how worthy each time
Accolades and deeds
Unique and sublime
The lives and the moments
Ones touched and improved
Blessings were rendered
Heartache removed
Gifts shared so freely
Love and compassion
Valued time most of all
Never shorn out of fashion
Words carry power
While whispers are healing
She studies your hands
Her sight quite revealing
Yet skilled as she is
Mere a part of her beauty
Gorgeous and unique
Her soul ’tis completely
Depths of eternity
Found deep in her eyes
They say she makes heaven
Complete with its skies
Yet beyond all accolades
Each measured for miles
How the room illuminates
At each of her smiles
Perfect I’d state
And support it in line
She’s without compare
I call her divine

A divine poem full of beauty. Lovely phrasing and rhyme, Ralph. I enjoyed reading this. Well done.
Loved the phrasing and rhyme Ralph. I would also like to meet this Goddess –
