This Crazy World

In this crazy world,

we’re like on a roller coaster ride.

One moment we’re up high,

with gladness and pure joy,

the next we come crashing down,

into a pit of despair –

our world crumbling apart.

So we go back and forth into this world,

tossed like waves upon the ocean,

never knowing what tomorrow may bring,

in this crazy world we live in,

perhaps our world will be brought upside down

and we’ll have to frown.

It could be that in this crazy world,

some days the colors are so bright

and they’re a delight,

other times we see shades of gray

and we have nothing to say.

We’re tossed unawares in this world

and we must do what we can,

to remember that this crazy world of ours –

can also be filled with love and kindness.

We must try to do all we can,

to get on in this crazy world,

treasure every moment,

that we live  and enjoy each day to the fullest,

be loving and true to our family and friends

and keep in mind that no one will award us gold stars,

but a kind word or a thank you can make our hearts sing with joy.

In this world we are born

and soon learn what it’s all about.

There is no doubt that we are masters of our fate,

the creative geniuses who spin their magic webs,

if our lives are to be a pleasure,

then we must give and share with others.

All things that come to us,

in this crazy world which make us smile,

are the rewards we have earned,

let’s treasure each golden moment,

each day as it spins by us

and keep in mind,

that we are in this crazy world –

for just a very short time.
