My Beauty Colored Glasses

My Beauty Colored Glasses
My Beauty Colored Glasses

Beauty transcends life,
when we are ankle deep in the mundane,
and when eyes are open to its appreciation,
our emotions lead us to such highs,
where we are entrenched by beauty.

No matter where we look,
beauty is profoundly represented,
in each dewdrop upon a leaf,
in each gloaming sky,
all a feast for the aware.

So guarded from the affronts
and lessons in life,
we begin to lose focus,
the scope of our plight,
and it is then we must renew our direction.

Without beauty’s eyes,
we are blind to the reality of life,
lost in the course, the aftermath of past,
we forget the purpose, the opportunity behest
in the paths we choose.

We seek happiness,
yet forget what beauty proffers,
realization from which the soul prospers,
as we encounter the challenges
the lessons needed, the intention.

And even though life can be hard,
the lessons tough,
the pain that may mar experience,
without beauty considered,
we just see shadows and darkness.

Through our beauty coloured glasses,
life is transformed, warmed by hearts,
and what is dark somehow lighter,
through recognition
and our beauty colored glasses.

Life is so full of beauty and your inspiring piece reminds us of that, Tony. It makes me realize why a walk in nature is so refreshing and renews my outlook on life. Lovely work which brings things back into focus. Well done, dear poet.

Much appreciated Phyllis, yes we all need a prompt, to remember what we all have in life. Cheers and take care.
