As We Waver Within Time

As We Waver Within Time
As We Waver Within Time

The universe whispers quietly,
so peacefully of the trials yet to come,
the dis-coincidence of consciousness
and outward manifestation,
under influence of drastic shifts,
that effect souls en masse.

Awareness brings concern
as to the circumstances evolving,
nothing quite right on earth,
moving in perverse directions,
seemingly out of kilter
as absurdity marks time.

I feel the congestion of consciousness,
the escalation of both passion and hatred,
infused in times of great change,
altercation and tragedy,
and wonder how I will survive the ache
of this empathetic heart.

I dream, I cannot sleep much,
and each day brings a dread
I do not understand,
yet I know the trails to come,
the challenges we will face in adversity,
and the sorrow begins to pervade my soul.

Each aspect of life has slipped
into another realm,
a darker state under an ecliptic sun,
and planets align in different ways,
their influence the beginning,
their silent conjunctions a trigger.

As I try to adjust to massive change,
I bear the burden of personal pain,
many of those I knew now distanced,
lost to their inept selves,
a path they cannot control or understand,
and my sorrow is heavy, my expectations few,
as the world wavers within time.

This verse deeply touches the heart and soul, Tony. Your sorrows are heavy and I cry for peace within your spirit. Sadness emanates from your words, yet the piece is beautifully penned.
