Then perhaps its veneer had lost that sheen – there
weren’t intimations of the earlier zest’s vitality: even
if it’s droll & we’re sanguine about nought unseemly
in its warp & weft, its appearance vitalises destined
space with vestiges that haven’t impressed dream-
time images of what we’d expected next; a rational
hiatus after fantabulous change, maybe; but if it’s a
pathway leading to runaway hallucinations – well –
It represents a rare opportunity; so we’ll let it bide a
while today; later we’ll play the tool’s roles and be a
party to fitting things where they’re planned to be in
the scheme we’d no problems foreseeing – & yet let
it be said, thresholds bred whenever still lead a way
to portals we’ve yet to see in that opus conspiracy
