I am a writer, and more recently a poet of some productivity. Over the past four years I have written over 3,000 pages of poetry and write daily, prolifically and most passionately. The cornerstone of much of my work is the human condition: why we are as we are and the changes that I believe will ensure our future rather than blow ourselves to pieces. I am an advocate of love, compassion, empathy and kindness and not religious at all, rather spiritual in my beliefs. This is my purpose, my creative path for some twenty odd years and my conviction is steadfast.
Last night I was lying in bed unable to sleep, when I was a ware of a figure standing next to my bed. I abruptly, and with heart pounding, sat bolt upright to face the intruder. In my night vision, and with the help of an outside street light, I observed him. He was very tall with pale skin, very large crystal blue eyes and platinum white hair, wore a long flowing gown of pale blue with a strange medallion around his neck.
He spoke softly and said “do not be afraid, I will not harm you,” and then, as my thoughts collected, he responded to them without my speaking a word. I quickly realized I could speak to him with my mind and he with me. He moved closer and began to explain.
“We have been watching you closely for some time, your words and intentions directed at your race with passion and hope. The state of your world is tenuous, the leaders of various nations hold the key for this worlds survival and yet they continue to banter war with threats of dire consequence.”
“We are member of a Galactic Federation that govern in harmony and peace. Yet your small world threatens our ways and although it is not our intention to intervene with worlds growing in technology, the time has come to make it known that a continuation on this path will have a consequence for earth.”
I asked what consequence, and the being stood silent for a moment before answering. “If a war broke out and there seemed no future other than destruction, we would intervene by destroying all nuclear weaponry. Should that not placate the want for war then sadly the planet would be disintegrated. We have weapons far more advanced than yours and although reluctant to use them, we will if necessary to maintain the Federation and peace, for the greater good.”
I asked how we could change the perception of the world, for people to choose peace over war, as I’d been writing about it for years and although many agreed, I cannot talk to the world, I am just one man.
“The concept of extraterrestrials still frightens many humans and although there is much press and information proving the existence of alien races, nothing has been definitive and governments are not ready to share the connections and technology gleaned from several races already on earth. That is why it is time to have a representative, a human to pass on this message from us, before it is too late.”
I answered not understanding why me, as I am just a man, no power, of no consequence in the world, so why should governments listen to me. Surely they will think I am a lunatic, someone with a mental disorder?
“My name is Goran, and my world is many light years from here, but with our technology we can travel uninhibited in short periods of time. It is not our intention to push technology onto growing worlds, but if the path is in a questionable direction, we may intervene within certain guidelines. All this I want you to pass on as a matter of urgency. The politics and workings of your governments is not ours to question, but the people must know what consequence there is in this present path. Finally the people of the world must choose, peace or destruction. It has come to that.”
Stunned, I sat there trying to absorb what was being told and that I in fact was conversing with an alien being. He seemed to understand my state of confusion and smiled knowingly. “Tell everyone this message, in any way you can, for time is running out for your world. Human beings have enormous potential but a blood lust and lack of spiritual growth inhibits what can be. You all and this planet are at a crossroad, and each choice made impacts on a possible future.”
As the words faded in my consciousness, Goran simply vanished. His presence lingered for some time as I looked at the clock, pinched myself to know I’d been awake and realizing I had, an explosion within my mind brought me to a burden of knowing. I was excited, exhausted, and completely bewildered as to my being part of this. Needless to say, last night I found no sleep and at 9.00 am I began to write the experience down, as close as I could to accurate. Although considering the meeting went for about 4 hours I couldn’t account for all the time, and wondered what had transpired. But I had no fear with this being, only a kindness and warmth seemed to emanate from his imposing form. After writing it all down, I sat there, feeling the burden of my task and wondered what would be.
