I Am But a Droplet

Like a droplet of water, falling in cascade,
lost within the multitudes,
yet from one single consciousness
I’m made,
and mingle with my ilk I twist and turn,
ever-falling, hearts disconcerted,
but I in calm return.
Gathering at the bubbling crest,
where fall ceases and currents test,
I freely surge within the tide,
while others struggle for peace,
but I can see only the release,
the will of providence churning till
I find my calm.
And as the flow gently slows,
and others fall away, grounded by the floor,
I sit upon the sunlit upper skin, and
in undulations my perspective begins,
and beyond the sky my soul yearns,
life so inviting yet hiding so much more,
and so expectations rise.
One droplet, one consciousness,
one passage into infinite worlds,
and as I float so calmly,
others ride the currents in panic,
overwhelmed by the battering of unknown,
and I attest their doubts,
but cannot abide what I may miss,
what all this is about.
So enduring I remain,
even if the shallows turn rapid,
I will flow through the unknown
like a path way for my soul,
and watch with calm intensity,
the range of my proclivity,
as life guides me to my home.

Such a divine journey expressed in the flow of life as a water droplet, one among millions and knowing your own path. Esoteric and beautiful. Calming and peaceful.
Glad you enjoyed it Phyllis, take care and enjoy the remainder of your day!
