How Harsh the Circumstances, How Difficult their Acceptance

Circumstance evolves as the minds who guide it,
mostly unaware of their sealing plight,
and like dominoes they fall,
the baton carrying believers molding
what first the lies have told,
and like an avalanche, momentum gathers,
until the movement is far from intended.
So many people are oblivious to their own minds,
their wrong doings and negative thoughts
sublimely placed to cause such harm,
and they see only their twisted will,
to disarm those in opposition,
the supposition of righteous events
that benefit their stance.
Ultimately they cause catastrophe,
they hurt without qualm or consideration
of what they have started in lies and manipulation,
all for some whim of negative thought,
jealousy, revenge or simply meanness,
drives a mind to unnatural limits
and even in decimation they see not their part.
I watch with sorrow the effects of such minds,
and cannot affect change,
for all who believe have chosen their plight,
and who am I to see their right;
and so sadness haunts my shadows,
for the innocents who have been hurt,
yet they chose out of free will.
I do not understand these minds,
I see it and believe it, yet cannot abide
the mindless choice of hurting,
and so I forgive their ignorance, their needs,
for removed I am, not drawn to the lows of their thoughts,
and live in observation only,
where judgement is released and I in learning, prevail.
Life changes, often unexpectedly,
and loss is often the knell of new beginnings,
so graciously we must allow others to follow their path,
regardless of how we see their decisions
or how it effects us,
for we choose our path, for better or worse,
along with the consequences.

So much is learned from the position of observation. Not being pulled down to negative thoughts shows your strength and wisdom, Tony. Your last stanza is what would be so beneficial to be remembered by all for keeping peace within. Admirable, great life lesson work.
Glad you related Phyllis, hope you’re having a great day, over 100 again today, but storm due and cooler days for next week or so. Cheers!
