Down But Not Out…being Overwhelmed

Down But Not Out...being Overwhelmed
Down But Not Out…being Overwhelmed

Tis not blame, that helps,
no revenge or rendered response
can remedy the imbalance,
this is life in the wake of dark souls,
who in their quest for self-worth,
hurt others and create disharmony
by their thoughts of malice.

Retaliation is not an answer,
as that exacerbates their ways,
it is kindness and understanding
and most importantly forgiveness,
that breaks the tethers from their lies
and allows the sun a sky
in which to shine.

No bad luck, no intention of good
can create this calamity,
so know that it is not a fault,
just the flow of life,
the ripple from which we see strife,
as it echoes in manifestation,
from a poisoned mind of ill-intent.

Let go those who seek darkness,
and let light bathe your life,
and watch as you forgive their ignorance,
see them just fade from sight,
for goodness cannot create disharmony,
but allowing darkness in, can,
and thoughts of kindness placates.

Forgive wretched souls of ignorance,
ill-intent and hurtful lies,
they know no better
and thrive on disruption;
so cleanse yourself of negative thought,
and watch all that upsets you, transform.

You are worth more than they,
a potential that aspires,
and let your mind bask in light,
forgive yourself for misunderstanding,
and let sunny days prevail,
it is your world to unveil,
and happiness your reward.

You continue to amaze and delight me with your inner strength, Tony. Your roots in spirituality run deep and harmful winds do not take you out. Your understanding of souls is admirable. Great work indeed, dear friend.

Thank you sincerely Phyllis, it is a mind in which I aspire, and knowing the mechanics helps to steady the self into a state of acceptance and kindness. Take care my friend.
