You Implored My Very Soul

She swells my heart and my looking glass
the depth of ebony skies,
as she ties my soul to hers,
as if wound in one twine,
her silken thread my solace,
my ignition in colored halls of ecstasy,
fallen doubts so smoothly slip away
as her smile the array of space and time
devours my menial life to quantum dreams.
Tis no heart that drives her to me,
but a soul in remembrance,
kaleidoscope worlds past and future ring,
a touch away they bring me love
that’s been in eternal echoes,
glimmering of joy and peaceful repose,
as we as one suppose what time can bring,
what secrets held in the suffering of erudition,
the findings of two souls bequeathed.
As once our eyes did meet,
the heart and soul knew complete,
we’ve been so much before, familiarity restored,
and swell we must as touch brings further gifts,
of tender nights and moonlight trysts,
known in darkest memories,
risen to a sentient gift of wonder,
the thunder of past storms fade,
as we together are made.
Colors like rainbow art,
become the skies and life to start anew,
in knowing true a love never forsaken,
but yearningly desired yet unknown
from where it would come,
the memories incomplete without sight of you,
but now in resolutions keep,
I am complete, remiss my life before,
you stood to face me, to implore my very soul.

Such beauty penned by the master poet. Evocative and endearing. Great work, Tony.
Too kind Phyllis, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. I can’t be too cynical all the time. lol Take care.
But that is how I think of you, so, not too kind, just honest. More romance please!
I come to read again, for I love it. Romantic poetry stirs the embers of my heart. 🙂
This is so beautiful, Tony! I love it.
Much appreciated Emese, so pleased you enjoyed it. Cheers!
