The Path of Good Intentions

The Path of Good Intentions
The Path of Good Intentions

Intention is everything,
circumstance the bearer of learning,
so pointless to judge apparent fault,
when intention has remained true,
and in life thoughts commend and oppose,
create nuances and change,
often misinterpreted as deliberate,
when the winds blow in directions unknown,
and life presents in unforeseen scope,
for us to deal with in kindness.

We can only ever be kind,
in all our intentions, our actions,
in consideration of self and others,
but if hurt ensues we should know
that it also bears gifts,
perhaps not obvious to us,
but there nonetheless,
and we are not in a position to judge
what life proposes,
just be kind in intention.

Being true to the self is important,
but being true to all life is more,
because we share our values and ideals,
and that honesty reveals our hearts,
gives credence to our intentions
and discloses truth seen through our eyes,
which in acceptance may help another,
to know themselves and hold firm their ideals
as a consequence,
uplifting awareness and understanding.

Life is too short
to spend with a contentious mind,
and sharing in open-hearted faith,
delivers and propagates this state of being,
thus spreading the concept
of positive intentions and kindness,
something that can transform the world
from the mistrust and paranoia
to a loving acceptance,
something we all aspire to.
