Nothing Matters Anymore

Nothing Matters …

It once mattered,

but now it doesn’t matter anymore.

Life was meant for enjoying,

for living each day,

leaving all fear behind,

trusting in the Lord above

and knowing that someday,

you’ll be swinging on a star.

Beside the Lord,

in the fields of Heaven,

so while you can,

live each day

and give yourself a chance –

to enjoy all that the world has to give.

There is not only bad,

there is a lot of good too

and this world –

was meant to be admired.

Take a look at the sun above

and nature which surrounds you,

believe in the love of the Lord,

pray every day.

It will take away the fears and tears,

you might have

and give you the strength to go on,

because every day,

you can find some beauty,

in nature around you,

as the seasons come and go.

Every day there is something,

to make you smile,

so embrace this life,

you’ve been given

and know that it will thrive and grow.

You’ll walk through it,

with grace and ease,

spread your arms

and dance with joy.

Sing with the birds,

that fly above,

let love take you to a higher level,

love as if it was the first time

and let passion overtake your heart.

If your love is true,

when your loved one is gone

and you feel blue,

they are just beyond reach –

forever always beside you.

Laugh with your family and friends,

never be sad when,

the angels come,

to take friends away,

we will meet again someday.

So if it mattered once,

it doesn’t matter anymore,

fall will still be followed by winter

and spring will make way for the summer –

let it matter no more.

Life has taken my passion from me of late. I am lost in myself much these days. I am useless to my pen, it lays stagnant beside me. My brain fog drags me into the abyss, my soul becoming one with disquiet. I was drawn too and moved by your message dear poet of hope. I struggle on and hope to be back at TCE soon. Peace and blessings I send to you this day.

Sorry to hear that Vincent, just remember our neural network is subject to changes in our thinking, and the more we embrace positivism, the more we are healed down to cellular level. Change is daunting yet finding that beauty in life transcends everything. I wish you well my friend and miss you here on TCE.

Thank you Vincent. Peace and blessings to you too. My inspiration came due to my feelings of being alone and adrift and keeping the hope alive that better times are just around the bend.

Good advice as each day is a gift, and when we perceive life as that, we surrender to its beauty and possibility. Nice work Rasma

This verse is so lovely, Rasma. Tony said it perfectly and I agree with him – each day is a blessed gift. Thank you for writing such an inspirational, endearing and timeless piece.
