In Freedom’s Grace…We Thrive

In Freedom's Grace...We Thrive
In Freedom’s Grace…We Thrive

Freedom is not a matter of tethered condition,
but a state of mind,
from which all limitations can be relinquished,
just as our loving hearts
are not dependent upon being loved,
we simple love, for that is who we are.

Freedom, lives within us,
as possibility thrives in imagination,
and manifests into the physical world,
as we are free, in mind,
and cannot be altered from the will of another,
as we cannot be changed to believe lies as truth.

We are born free and shall remain so in life,
for we are blessed with free will,
how to respond to life’s challenges,
and no matter the circumstances,
our thoughts and actions are out of choice,
even in the midst of persecution.

When we feel the bounds of oppression,
we so often lose faith in life,
feel victimized and weak,
yet freedom to respond and hold onto our ideals
is simply our choice in the face of adversity,
a stance for what we believe.

Life is never easy,
and that is a given on earth,
but freedom we never lose,
our ability to overcome negative impacts
and oppression, ours to fathom,
and the stronger we get the more we realize our will.

Freedom is the certainty of life,
should we attest to its reality,
for it is the space in which we direct our free will,
our personal influence on life,
and in that, we are blessed,
no matter the complexity of circumstance.

What a brilliant example of how free verse should be written, I thank you Tony for the lesson. I really enjoyed the words, and more so, the inspiration.
