Even in the Light of Truth

Even in the Light of Truth
Even in the Light of Truth

The last words parted the lips,
dripping with regret,
for swept into lands unwanted was he,
and not by his own hand did he fall,
but by a supposed love,
in manipulation of his honorable,
kind and loyal nature.

How sad when kindness is used
as a means of compliance,
and how evil the intent in undertaking,
to be so self-serving, that another’s sacrifice
means little, even in a marriage,
and no manner of words could change her,
for she believes only a righteous self.

The delusions run deep,
when truth like dust swept under a mat,
and reasoning sound in application,
when the self cannot be wrong,
is better than anyone else
and deserved of only the best,
even though others get hurt as a consequence.

How we can betray ourselves,
in the desperation of self-worth,
and how damaging a soul entangled in their own lies,
so meticulously,
no-one could offer a plausible truth,
their questioning just an ignorance
in light of their unquestionable reality.

I see the hurt, the manipulation, and my heart sinks,
trying to deflect the anger welling,
when those I love suffer,
and nothing I can do can remedy their life,
other than self-discovery and the pain of realization,
so devastating, I question their survival,
their ability to accept harsh truths.

I just watch with empathy, the undoing of minds,
and pray the truly righteous victorious
in this human drama,
where broken people enact their scripts of infliction
and the good suffer at their hands,
seemingly unstoppable,
even in the light of truth.

Tony do you have The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran? I often search that book when I am up against difficult situations. Page 50 – 51 on Reason and Passion and pages 17 – 18 on Children, has helped me so many times and it might help your children if they could read the book. Your writings are much like Gibrans, in that they are life lessons and words of wisdom. I often search your books also for understanding and wisdom. Do your children read your books?

    Take care. x

Quite a compliment Phyllis, yes I have all his books and the Prophet one of my all time favorites. I discovered him at 18 years and followed him as well as people like Krishna Murti ‘First and Last Freedom’ and then got into all the Sanskrit texts and Theosophy. I guess those words collectively stay with me, but I keep on studying and adding to that base of knowledge. Presently I am studying all the latest discoveries of Quantum Physics relating to the spiritual world and our reality. You’ll notice a few examples of my latest works display some of those findings. My kids, at least two of them discuss this stuff continually , but not great readers, although I suspect work is read from time to time. Both my boys here in Adelaide are extremely intuitive and sensitive; so we’re all on the same wavelength. Come next March both boys are moving in with me: I have a little bit more work with both. Cheers. x

I have noticed your works on Quantum Physics. Fascinating study in the relation to the spiritual world and our reality. I would like to read more about that from you. I will have to check out Krishna Murti’s ‘First and Last Freedom’ – I am not familiar with that author, so thanks for the information. x

That book Phyllis, changed my life at the age of 20, and the person who introduced me to it was so far beyond most people I had ever known. He, a few years later, finally found true love in his early thirties and one night just unexpectedly died in the arms of his love. His name was David Black and I will never forget him. Get the book and read it slowly, for it is hard going, but the epiphanies run constantly. x

I will. Thank you, dear friend. That is sorrowful about David Black, but he found true love before he departed. And what a gift he gave you. x
