An Enlightened Soul
Erudite, an enlightened soul stands,
less and less of life to command,
as circumstances flow like crystal cascades,
in purest thoughts of kindness made,
and breath just rises and falls,
sun and moon share the skies
and a loving heart finds peace in tranquility.
Stillness prevails,
just the movement of honed thought
rises in warm currents of ascension,
to rest like snowflakes on an outstretched hand,
and melt so quietly and unobtrusively,
melding with the world
in perfect manifestation.
An erudite mind
cares not for games, for fame or any manner of gain,
for that self died long ago,
back then the casting of a shadow,
yet now saturated in light,
a plight removed from striving,
aligned now to the inhalations and exhalations
of the universe.
How calm the countenance of knowledge,
how unperturbed the stance,
open yet removed from petty strife,
life alone and time stood still,
being in the present wholly,
each moment a revelation of sight and mind,
rejuvenation of the spirit.
Favour the thoughts of goodwill,
acceptance into this hall of sanctity,
being near a pleasured release from life’s harsh reproach,
for in this light only love can wield a sword,
only compassion reaches a heart open
and gives hope to doubtful plays.
In repose an enlightened soul
may postulate for all the fears of men,
and simplicity will lead the words,
as life is choice and the spirit hopes for clarity,
so to nurture the layman,
give cause to want to change.
