What if there was a War, and Non-one Turned Up?

Two children in a sandpit…War
Who starts wars, it is certainly not you or I, just one or two individuals with ulterior motives. But it is we who choose to support those in power. If we want to stop war, we simply should not enter into blame or judgement and not support those who gain by it. We are the voice and without that voice, no government can continue to create hostility for gain.
The quarry of my enemy,
is my ally by circumstance,
and all belief aside
the escalation and dissemination
of contention.
Judgement and choice
appropriates a side,
and numbers can only increase
notions of righteous pride,
disputation on the rise.
The stirring of blame and vengeance
is by a group mind, causative,
rational thought deprived of oxygen,
and opposition the ignition
of hostility.
War is started by two souls alone,
and it is we who follow in tow,
to choose a side to give credence
to egos out of control,
and in our blindness we suffer.
What if there was a war,
and no-on turned up?

Very good thoughts and a powerful message, Tony. To not give judgement and blame is to not give “credence
to egos out of control,”
This is a well-written word of wisdom piece. Great work indeed. x
Thanks Phyllis, pleased you related and enjoyed my thoughts. Cheers!
