Too Much to Bear

Too Much to Bear
Too Much to Bear…Cat scan of mummy…around 400 AD, unique DNA, Humanoid but with three fingers and toes, no ears, little nose. Larger cranial capacity than human.

All it seems, displaced by dreams,
is likely untrue, delivered askew
to truth’s elusive ride, its layered ruse,
too deep to fathom.

And when, in flickered light
the truth steps up, tis a little too much,
belief torn from hearts, in shreds,
lost to realities we cannot bare.

Is is better to live in blissful ignorance,
the truth in woven approximation
as the clothes we wear,
or bear the pain of reality’s stark atonement.

Fear dictates as a harsh master,
and often chosen to vindicate stagnancy,
for fear of what may be truth,
such a frightful reality, unwanted.

The delusion is complete,
fear too rewarding in ignorance,
not knowing what is, rejecting our worst fears
to accept the shallow reflection of hope filled dreams.

So when I speak, address my knowing,
you stare in vacant wonder,
I, the madman, you the righteous,
all because the truth you cannot see.

I cannot explain, for you are closed,
the door long locked,
heart so isolated within your layers,
no light can seep into your dark recess.

The world lives in a delusion of grandeur,
reality a toy to those who create it,
not close to truth, but forged from distractions breath,
and happily lives accept their Hollywood life.

I say, be true to thyself,
for no-on else can or will afford it.

Wonderful work, Tony. I used to wonder why ancient cultures had so much interest in the skies, stars and other planets, or why they carved images of aliens, astronauts, and space ships on huge rocks and cliffs, or constructed those huge Nazca lines. I gave up wondering years ago, because I realized those ancients knew, and accepted, far more than people of today do. And why have we assumed that it was Earthlings that carved all those petroglyphs, and the images that can only be seen from space? Well done, Tony.

Yes Phyllis these beings have been here long before we were, and from what I have researched, they most probably were the link between our Neanderthals and modern man, in rearranging DNA. There is so much evidence that proves the case, yet people believe what they want to believe. Eg. There is far more evidence to extraterrestrials that there is for the existence of Jesus Christ. That is a fact. Cheers!

Tony, do you recall reading my story Silent World For a Young Woman? It is full of symbolism and there are two interpretations as to where the young woman traveled and her final destination – and the people she met there. The valley she found is round and deep, quite large and the tunnel she went through to get there is very symbolic. The interpretation of her journey depends on the beliefs of each reader.

What becomes truth to us, is concluded after we filter it with our own biases, predilections and beliefs. Thus we are honed to either believe or not, and truth them becomes elusive by nature. As the platitude goes..’for those who believe no proof is necessary, for those who do not, no proof is possible.’
