The Key to Ascension
What gives solace,
a way to see through all our petty concerns,
is life itself: each bloom, leaf, tree, insect and animal,
whispering the nature of truth,
the connection that transcends our worries
and gives priority to thought?
Lost we become in trivial matters
of ego and resentment,
when answers are as close as a bee
sitting upon a flower, consumed by life,
driven and motivated by its purpose,
as we in our sentient arrogance
mislay in our striving for self.
A kaleidoscope of possibility awaits us,
on the other side of what we see as reality,
yet we cling to the physical like a leach in symbiosis,
when reality is within the mind, the soul,
not the illusion of place we call living,
but a reality far more flexible.
Yes, live on this plane is for learning,
circumstances that often teach with harsh reproach,
yet when we connect with life on a spiritual level,
the paths we’ve trodden reveal this process
and we may then decide to follow our hearts and soul
to a higher consciousness,
bereft of the mundane lives we so cared for.
The very core of us holds the key
to who we are, our transformation awaiting us,
and the sooner we connect with life on a deeper level,
the sooner we lose our worries and fears
and adopt a more open vision of life
that will lift us up into compassion and love.
Serenity is a solace, uncluttered by trivial matters,
and the peace that awaits us is mind altering,
for it reaches parts of us that lay dormant,
potential that cannot be realized without insight,
and the understanding of balance and nature,
our key to ascension, spiritually.
