In Balance Keep

Finding balance…
Jewels abide dark places,
every well a sustenance,
and light often missed in worth
for such gifts bleached in abundance,
and from the darkest recess
is light most prominent,
the brightest days filled with dark enticements,
and the worth of any vision,
is the adeptness of the perceiver.
So in light of all hues known,
tis ours to discern and wily be,
for hearts of dark resolve are open to their kind,
and light unseen by heartless souls,
too deep in caverns deep to see;
so what is real and seen,
or what is delusion and imagined,
is just the same to those perceiving,
and attesting truth impossible.
Life is filled with choices,
and in those choices our soul resides,
aligned to light or darkness ills,
drawing what is deep inside,
and so we wear our masks and veils,
but really light shines and darkness hides,
and with open eyes
we may see what lay beneath,
to keep us safe and in balance keep.

Tony, I love this! Yes, we must keep our eyes open to “to keep us safe and in balance keep.” You continue to amaze me, even though I feel I know you well, surprising wisdom comes forth from you that makes me think deeply. You are a mystery, yet I will never tire of learning to know you. Such great work.
Thanks so much Phyllis, so glad you relate and enjoy my thoughts. Take care.
You are the master poet – bar none my friend. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Kind words indeed Kurt. Much appreciated my friend and glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
