Her Every Countenance

Restored I am within the day,
a glorious Spring day of nurturing warmth,
and even clouds have stayed away
to farewell the passing season forlorn;
and as winter’s hold fades quickly from sight,
chilled nights and frosted mornings,
birds do chirp as the first rays of light,
attest to Springs new dawning.
A taste of Summer soon to come,
each breath the scent of jasmine,
and trees now sprouting vivid greens,
as birds on nests upon the bows have seen;
so fresh the morn, the endless sky,
hues of blue in nature’s loving eye,
and I awaken early, witness change in play,
to welcome in the new day.
My mind wanders memories,
those fresh feelings of seasons past,
as I revel in her beauteous face,
and plan all I will grace this day from start;
but now its all I can do,
to stand beneath those shards so welcoming,
and let the morning ensue,
to follow her lead unquestioning.
In the grace of life,
we stand within its plight of opportunity,
and each season, each change a gift,
a wondrous lifting of spirit;
and so the season anew is beguiling,
no matter its endless countenance,
and I give thanks for every move,
within which life does advance.
