The Evil Lies Within, its Eradication Ours to Address

Evil is not the perpetrator of itself,
rather we for the act of abandoning love,
and in the face of death and destruction,
tis fear to which we are tethered,
bound by the belief that darkness prevails,
as our hearts fail to uphold kindness.

In evil, we abandon ourselves,
that for which we should stand strong,
has faded away in the shadow of darkness,
yet we cringe in that shadow,
not attesting love in our failure
to acknowledge it.

There is no blame for a light-less world,
when we have accepted it, outright,
and there will be no change
until we restore faith in ourselves
and abide by loves paradigm
for living.

Until then we may watch with sorrow,
the wars and hatred of a dark world prevail,
for what opposition have we undertaken,
what change are we intending,
when life just stays the same,
as do we.

We have promise far greater than we accept,
and light reveals the evil in shadows,
so the only course of change
is to step into light
and know what darkness confronts us,
before light transforms it.

But transformation begins within the self,
acknowledging potential,
acknowledging the power of love and compassion,
and rejecting the darkness of corruption,
to resolve our woes and fears
by a revolution of our life’s paradigm.
