The Disrespect and Pure Evil of a Sibling
Disrespect: elderly parents…
The evil of money
is exacerbated in the striving for favor
in the wills of the elderly,
taking control out of selfishness not charity,
and manipulation beyond expectation,
so blatantly obvious in the slow and planned steps
into a parents financial affairs.
Like I am watching a film, if only it were,
where the greed of siblings
forces elderly parents into circumstances
that are less than wise and putting health at risk,
just for the opportunity of financial control
as the oncoming end of two lives draws near,
control will ensure the siblings future.
As minds fade, the elderly become prey
to those of ill-intent: the children,
blood but of such devious machinations,
it is hard to witness this scourge,
and while the parents are manipulated into believing
they are being cared for,
the children gain control by steps, until legal.
I am watching a move, interstate,
liquidating a valuable home, moving
to a potentially harsher environment,
so children can get their claws in;
their parents 80-90 years old,
just at the stage where they need help
to pay bills, invest and protect their money.
I have been helping them for 25 years,
and now my ex-in-laws are leaving,
manipulated by an avaricious sibling
who wants it all for her own family,
and she will do anything to secure her position,
having already manipulated them for a full year
to move to them, and come October, they’ll be gone.
I am sickened at the lack of love and respect
for people who have earned a grand life,
and are now at the mercy of such putrid souls,
who have no heart at all,
just a lust for money and selfish reasoning.
I helped out of love alone and although I can do nothing,
I pray for justice and my dear family’s happiness
in their remaining years.

It’s very sad how seniors are taken advantage of and manipulated by their families. I’ve seen it even where I live, seniors much older than myself, often treated with a jaundiced eye. Why is it so? seniors should be shown respect for the longevity they have earned. No parent, grandparent should be taken advantage of by greedy siblings, but the almighty dollar is a God to many, and they will stop at nothing to deprive even their own blood from it. Sadly written Tony, I’m happy that you have taken care of your family for so long, out of love and tenderness from your heart. I’ma sick of hearing whispers from children, ” I just wish they would die and get over it” makes me want to vomit. They are leaches, waiting in the wings to suck the blood, even out of their own parents. Very sad indeed.
It sickens me too, as I see right through their manipulations and know whats going to happen. Very sad indeed. Cheers my friend.
Oh! Tony, my heart and prayers go out to you and the loved ones you have cared for all those years. If only some miracle could intervene to prevent this devastating action that is going on. Take care of yourself so as to be the pillar of strength your loved ones need. x
Thanks Phyllis, its hard to watch and the elderly are so vulnerable, especially when its their own children involved, who they should be able to trust. But so many people are not what they seem. Sad.
