All the Days of My Being…my choices

All the Days of My Being...my choices
All the Days of My Being…my choices

I feel the seeds of my beginnings,
as invisible limits within,
propensities given by my heritage,
thoughts unthought and words of sin,
yet in my quest of transparency,
I now realize those ephemeral walls,
and the choices I now face
in conquering my boundaries and more.

Each thought, each action,
is considered in light of tendency,
and perhaps my path is smoother,
for its intentional transparency,
and being true to self is a freedom sweet,
for no shadows dull the truth
with standing in the light,
acceptance a favored plight.

Quick to judge, quick in defense,
we often react out of habit, any sense,
our given paradigms formed without thought,
rather knee-jerked, and in protection sought,
yet when we dismiss all else from the moment at hand,
with considered response,
an appropriate state of context,
our lives we command.

The seeds of my beginnings are just that,
the plinth upon which my beliefs are built,
and treating each and even moment as new,
my choices alone let my life ensue,
without the shadow of past,
cast upon my DNA,
tis my will only that may create my day,
and all the days of my being.

Very good thoughts, Tony. To realize that it is you who creates your day is the mark of one who truly know their Self. It is by our own choice that determines our day. Great work, great reminder for all.

Much appreciated Phyllis, yes, that is why blame is a fruitless choice, when tis we who guide our circumstances. Cheers!
