‘The View from the Shed’ A Spiritual and Philosophical Journey into Perspective
‘The View from the Shed’ is a book a long time coming, planned for many years and sitting in my mind like some specter, nudging me to write it and get it out of my system. When the times was right I dug deep and finished the work, the culmination of a life time of learning. It is a story of how the book was written, and woven within it thirty two essays about many aspects of life and the human condition.
Being a poet, I could not resist the opportunity to add a fitting poem after each chapter/essay, to confirm my expression in a more creative way. The book has become the flagship of my beliefs about life and the reality of being a mortal human on this earth, striving to find reason and contentment within the vastness of experience on our individual paths of learning.
I am not a religious person, however spirituality is a firm foundation given me by my mother, morality and living a clean life engrained in my thinking. Through may experiences I have learned a great deal about religion, philosophy and the paranormal, and here I use the wisdom afforded me to talk of the many aspects of living that determine our fate in physical life. It is my hope of course, the reader finds solace in my words, and perhaps new perspectives on how to perceive life with all its challenges and rewards.

‘The View from the Shed’ has become my go to book to help me see within myself and embrace my spirituality. I relate closely to Tony DeLorger’s view on the spiritual way of life and his philosophy. When I first got the book I read it from cover to cover, savoring every word, every phrase, because the whole concept of this great work has been a part of me for a long time. Reading Tony’s book has helped me in many ways. When I have an issue or thoughts that perplex me, I go to a chapter in Tony’s book that relates to what is going on with me. I then find peace within myself.
I highly recommend ‘The View from the Shed’ to anyone who is on a spiritual path to find their own truths.
