In Time…the Cleansing of Our Needs

In Time...the Cleansing of Our Needs
In Time…the Cleansing of Our Needs

Cleansing…

The wind blows
as if to cleanse the land,
and time does recuse itself,
its beat somehow in remand,
for what is time unseen,
does it exist outside of dreams?

Water falls, cascades
to weather smooth the stone,
we know stone is strong,
yet water in time
does wrongs its jagged edges,
and abide an unobstructed flow.

Fire cleanses all,
from dust to flesh to ash
and dust again,
yet what makes fire whole,
if not the breath that sustains us all,
and in time our rise and fall.

Earth may grow in beauteous forms,
all that’s green and colors bold,
and trees do exhale the air,
for fire to breath and vapor rise
then blown in time
by winds that cleanse our every need, indeed.

I love water over stone, babbling brooks, rushing river canyons, waterfalls over rock and hitting them far below. Nature is forever cleansing, eroding, creating, moving and peeling away time. Humans come and go, from birth to ash. Yet water is consistently flowing, however with climate changes, water is fighting for survival. We are using too much of our unsustainable precious resource to fuel the meat industry. Using up millions of gallons of it on a daily basis, when it runs out it we can blame the growing of soya and grain to feed the cattle and then slaughter them in slaughter houses, using millions of more gallons of our liquid gold to clean the slaughtering houses, very sad indeed for the plight of our drinking water. This poem is beautifully penned my friend, disregard my ranting, it just sickens me, what we are doing to mother nature because of the greed of mankind. Cheers.

Agree my friend, greed is the human motto and we will pay for it one way or another. Glad you appreciated the work. Take care Vincent.
