Nature Enfolds Me

Nature Enfolds Me

nature enfolds
Nature Enfolds Me

Nature enfolds me in her loving arms
When troubles surround me in daily life,
To return to nature and all her charms
Renews energy lost with all the strife
Encountered in many days that are rife
With love lost, dissension and that which harms
My peace of mind, my joy and happiness,
Many things that once to life brought gladness.

When in transition, life can be so fraught,
With stress, indecision, anxiety,
Causing imbalance, and harmony naught,
For this wandering soul’s journey alone.
Return to nature, dear heart, and let not
Thy life fall from grace or its sanctity,
Life is to be lived fully each moment,
Embrace life, let love always be spoken.

Remember love which brings me to my knees,
As I pray for strength and peace then give thanks,
Here alone with comfort among the trees
Which shelter me in solace, with each branch
That gently moves with a soft cooling breeze,
To caress my aching head, give a chance,
For me to once again open my heart
To the love nature instilled from the start.

Abide, dear heart, here among nature’s best,
Where I hear soft whispers from the Mother
Touch my heart and soul, give me gentle rest,
To awaken with joy like no other,
When once again I may feel the love, lest
I forget all I learned from the Mother,
Here I will return and abide so free
In my solace as nature enfolds me.

I am an author on TCE and write mainly in poetry and short stories. I have always liked to write. It is important to me that writing comes from my heart and soul. When writing poetry, if I do not feel a spiritual connection to what I am writing on, I will discard it and go on to something I can connect with on a spiritual level. I live in the moment, I write from the past or beyond the veil. When writing fiction I go with whatever inspires me at the moment - it could be funny, sorrowful, romantic or sometimes done with the use of colloquial language from mountain folk or other cultural regions. I began writing content online in 2007, starting with BellaOnline - A Voice For Women, where I was the Native American Editor, Folklore & Mythology Editor, and the Appalachian Editor. I also wrote articles for The Examiner, Daily Two Cents, and Yahoo. I am currently an author on HubPages. Most of what I write takes a lot of research and I love it. Even if it is a fictional story, I will research for accuracy in whatever it takes to make my characters, their era, their location, etc. become realistic to the reader. I hope you enjoy my works. Thank you for visiting.

Nature is my solace too, just witnessing the sharing and balance is usually enough to break my malaise. Nicely penned of this soulful release within nature, finding balance and the joy that life can offer and open heart. Take care Phyllis

Thank you so much, Tony. Yes, I know you love nature and find peace and beauty there. We are very much akin when it comes to Nature. Sorry I have been absent lately and missing your posts – I will catch up soon, dear poet. Take care.

Beautiful dear Phyllis. Nothing like soaking in nature’s treasure. It does give a healing vibe every time I find myself in the woods or by a babbling stream. Your words speak in truths, nature though sometimes violent is be we judging or blaming, it is a tranquility that holds its side if the bargain every time. Nicely penned my friend.

Oh! Thank you, Paul, dear friend. Sometimes I try to emulate you, not to compete, just to get that essence of old world charm your poetry often speaks with – I never seem to obtain that, yet I am at peace with what I pen. Yes, nature does give healing vibes, especially if I am near trees and babbling streams, which I like to call ‘giggling waters’. It seems to me that when water tumbles over rocks it sounds like giggles. Voices of nature are very pleasing for me, even thunder and lightning. Thanks again, dear poet.

    Phyllis,

Your poetic words capture nature beautifully, and make it come alive in all its glory! I believe you have a special talent for conveying nature’s loveliness. So wondrous and sweet are your words.

    Phyllis,

I have a Pinterest Board called: Other Writers…it would by lovely if I might have permission to share the link of your poem to it. It would just be the link. I have a couple poems of Tony’s and Vincent’s in there already. But, if you do not wish this, I completely understand. It’s just such a beautiful poem you have here. My Pinterest name is same: ‘Tamara Yancosky’ if you wish to see where your poem link would be. I am very careful about asking permission, first. And, I would understand if anyone said, “No!” (Well, maybe without the explamation mark). Ha.
