Just Love in Words to Meld

I can but hope
with every word I write,
a heart accepts, a soul reflects,
and my expression worthy
of a mind to consider,
the truths I’ve found,
the pain I’ve known
from life’s long passage,
and relate or not,
my heart in sharing grace,
cannot cease to seek connection,
for that is our purpose,
a poet and a pen, to shed our skin
and paint rainbows in the night.
What we see, what we feel,
is forged like steel,
words of strength
or words of the ethereal
reveal just who we are,
and share we must our rhymes,
our hearts and hopes sublime
to render other hearts open,
and to see what we see,
life in all its glory,
beauty found and exemplified,
tried and true our view,
until hearts soar like doves aloft,
through the eyes of a poet.
Each moment shared is sacrosanct,
as if hearts joined in beauty’s honor,
and each word that tugs
those heart strings,
may change everything,
new horizons dawn on lack luster lives,
and light arise it may,
to vision better ways to live,
to give and in gratitude for life,
appreciate what a poet paints,
in that stream of creativity
that muse of beguiling nature,
keeping words in open skies,
and clouds so pure no compromise is felt,
just love in words to meld.

The beauty of connection a poet creates is a profound two-way gift. I always feel the connection when I read your inspirational words, Tony, and they meld with the love that guides my life. You are truly an inspiration in my life.
Sincerely thank you Phyllis, I’m pleased you so relate to my thoughts and expression. Have a great day!
Your work is a tonic for many I’m sure of that. Your exploration of humanity is revealing in every stroke of your pen, no doubt your inspirations felt by many. Your expressiveness is as sharp and exact as the talons of an eagle. I’ve enjoyed and will continue to do so my friend as many words from your genius mind as I possibly can. I too am inspired by your many talents, keep sharing, keep expressing, we are all listening. Cheers
Much appreciate dear poet, you kindness and generosity is profoundly humbling. Thank you my friend.
This is a wonderful poem, Tony. Not in just the way it is written but the message it conveys from the heart of a poet. Very relatable to all who aspire to call themselves “poets.” Well done.
Much appreciated John, so pleased you enjoyed my thoughts and expression Take care my friend.
