Heart Beyond Knowing

Tis what I want,
the flow of life in plain sight,
no haze of delusion
shall diminish my sight,
and should death knock upon my door,
I shall welcome it as my chauffeur,
a journey to what’s next in store,
and look back I may
to those I leave behind,
but we shall meet again, in time.
Show me the truth,
let not lies taint my heart,
for I can endure reality
and the superficiality so often shown,
is wasting to a thirsty soul,
so let humanity unfold as it should,
whether enlightenment or disaster,
let it not take a toll,
for I am on this journey
for epiphany’s sake.
What trials life holds
is but my learning to be whole,
and I shall not despair
over circumstance,
illness or fallen dreams,
for this soul is intact,
the conglomerations of many lives,
and I know I live on
beyond this mortal coil,
eternal in my dreams,
my seed within the soil.
So reveal to me your secrets,
for they do not fall on deaf ears,
as I imbibe them complete,
greet them as my very children,
to be nourished
in the halls of possibility,
to be driven to the reaches of ecstasy,
as journey I must in dimensions,
with eyes beyond sight,
heart beyond knowing.

Your last stanza has a special meaning to me, Tony. This is a very well phrased verse of positive thoughts expressing honor to your soul, embracing thy Self. It is beautiful and a great piece.
Glad you enjoyed the work Phyllis, thank you for youf continued support and friendship. Take care.
Tony,
Thank you for another beautiful, and eloquently expressed poem.
Your poetry has a way of opening up my mind up into previously uncharted territories.
If you knew me, what I just said would make perfect sense 🙂 LOL… So, thank you!
Its been said to me before and I take it as a compliment. Thank you. I guess I reveal my inner most feelings for readers to relate too and realize we are all on the same journey, yet our paths may be different. It is that connection that makes us re-evaluate how we see the world and gain new perspectives. So pleased it makes you think. A great compliment. Take care Tamara.
