The Call

Hi, how are you?

How nice to hear from you, you really have no clue.

I know you have a lot to do,

But it’s always good to hear from you.

You make me laugh, you make me smile.

Always nice to chat with you awhile.

To call you, I wish I had the time

But time is just so hard to find.

Just remember that I love you

And call me again real soon.

Or, maybe, with everything I do

I’ll find the time to call you, too.

The sad truth of our busy lives, losing contact with people, family and friends. There is only so much one can put into a day and with all our pressures and responsibilities, connection must be a constant work in progress. Nicely penned Shannon.

Life will always keep moving. And I find that even social media doesn’t help all that much.
