Visions Within My Soul

Visions Within My Soul

visions within

Dreams and visions within my soul take me beyond
Tomorrow, where the world is new,
So different than what we now know,
To a time where there is more nature
Than there are people,
And there is Harmony and Balance
Within all creation.

Today our world is choking
With pollution of every kind,
Hatred, wars, mass destruction,
Extinction of all that is beautiful,
Mother Earth is crying out
For help to save and restore her,
Humanity is pleading for peace.

Friendship and love is needed
All over the world,
Ere humanity forgets the glory
Of being one with all,
Of reaching out, touching, helping,
Loving nature and all creation,
Remembering kindness and how to give.

Oft, these visions within take me back
To a distant past, when the world was young,
A time when nature was abundant
With plants, trees, animals and birds,
Creatures of every kind imaginable.
And there was Harmony and Balance
Within all creation.

I am an author on TCE and write mainly in poetry and short stories. I have always liked to write. It is important to me that writing comes from my heart and soul. When writing poetry, if I do not feel a spiritual connection to what I am writing on, I will discard it and go on to something I can connect with on a spiritual level. I live in the moment, I write from the past or beyond the veil. When writing fiction I go with whatever inspires me at the moment - it could be funny, sorrowful, romantic or sometimes done with the use of colloquial language from mountain folk or other cultural regions. I began writing content online in 2007, starting with BellaOnline - A Voice For Women, where I was the Native American Editor, Folklore & Mythology Editor, and the Appalachian Editor. I also wrote articles for The Examiner, Daily Two Cents, and Yahoo. I am currently an author on HubPages. Most of what I write takes a lot of research and I love it. Even if it is a fictional story, I will research for accuracy in whatever it takes to make my characters, their era, their location, etc. become realistic to the reader. I hope you enjoy my works. Thank you for visiting.

To reflect on what was and how we cherished such moments, to be thrown into a world that is devastated with plagues of every kind, a planet in a spin like never before. Oh to go back to those days of yore, a picture you painted dear poet, a yearning to see the world as it was back then I would gladly go back in time. Well written, thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a wholesome poem full of hope and integrity. It’s a very gorgeous poem to have on the internet amongst the more tragic writings, which gives some balance between the darker poems, and these brighter ones. All types of poems are lovely, but once in a while it’s such a pleasure to see a poem filled with such softness, gentleness, and peace.

    Beautiful!
