‘Your Life Spark’
Your life spark is best described as being that very thing that motivates and drives your will to function and to live. Everyone has the ability to be driven positively by this life force within them, but sadly for many they are for whatever reason, completely mentally disconnected from its influence. Apathy and depression have the greatest negative effects on how well one is able to connect to this life spark always there, within one’s inner self.
Make a genuine wish that includes finding your spark and then focus daily on what you hope to achieve from that wish. Don’t let self doubt get in the way of the outcome, stay focused so your life spark has time to reconnect with and drive your subconscious mind. Sooner or later you will find one simple wish, along with the daily exercise of focusing on it, will provide you with a personal outcome that will truly change and improve your life. Promise!

‘Your Life Spark’
I wonder if an inspirational, magical spark
of positive light will ever be found dwelling
within the dark shadows of your depression,
where no tangible outcome seems to exist
Surely a life changing spark could be generated
by the collision of a negative mind or ego
with the countless yet to be fulfilled possibilities
and simplistic hopes of life’s reality
Although “I Wish”
offers an alternative perspective
perhaps it may seem devoid of reliability
when uttered by others
But I honestly wish; that you appreciated
the unconditional value of our friendship
I truly wish; that you could stop blaming
others for your insecurity and feelings of failure
I really wish;
that you could openly see the whole effect
of your negativity and sadness on this world
more so, through the eyes of those who love you
And lastly, I just wish; that one day soon you will
have the courage and strength to look within your heart
then simply make a heartfelt wish, while it beats still
for you may find your life spark once more
Only then perhaps you would always believe
I promise you will see and understand how much wonderment
light and happiness can be found within a simple spark
When a genuine wish comes true…

Hello Rob, this was a lovely inspiration to read, first thing today. We all have that magical spark inside of us, and it’s nice to be reminded it is completely within our reach to ignited it, and make our own wishes come true. Enjoyed it. Thank you!
Best,
Mel
Hi Mel, thank you for your positive review. I know this piece must seem I am preaching to the converted. But as poets posting on the net in this environment, we must concede to some degree to seo requirements. As such, we fill our pages with other content that must interrelate to the poem, usually at the expense of the message conveyed within the poem. As a standalone post, the poem itself retains its true significance at the expense of page ranking. Catch 22. I guess the answer is solved by simply publishing in hard copy and thus letting the pieces within speak for themselves. I must do that in the near future, but not today. Glad you enjoyed this piece Mel… you take care..
Rob, this is a marvelous inspirational piece. It is so rewarding and beneficial for one to look within the Self and embrace exactly who they are and realize the effects they have not only on their spiritual growth, but on others. This is a very positive work and well written. Kudos.
Thank you Phyllis, yes indeed. Pretty much preaching to the converted as far as writers are concerned, but then maybe not to the wider audience. Glad you enjoyed this piece, cheers… take care
Nice piece Rob, and yes the life spark, that innate force that is life within us. I find it difficult to be around negative people and choose to be far from them in general. Balance to me is paramount and darkness is to be avoided out of choice. Great work Rob.
Thank you Tony, yes I agree. Negative influences always feeds on positive influences, much like a mosquito with an insatiable appetite to suck the life essence out of other creatures. Negative usually seek the company of anyone they perceive to be worthy of sharing the the misery with. Glad you enjoyed this piece… Take care
Very inspirational, Rob, and I hope all those wishes come true.
Thank you John, I appreciate your positive review. Cheers for that.. take care
Too many people thrive on wishes, wishing for this or that or the other. I’ve found in my short journey here on mother earth that the spark you’ve penned about is in each any every one of us. To grasp that spark, grab onto it, ignite it in our own hearts and soul, by doing will move us to greater heights. The spark of genius lays dormant, just waiting for that moment in time to release it upon you. But when it does you have to be ready to receive it and put it to your use. I’ve had my sparks, I’ve grasped moments and cherished them, yet never being fulfilled, but for that pittance in time. For me at least, my minute sparks, never burst into the flame I desired, so I accept what sparkles do come my way from time to time in this journey I’m on here. Nicely penned Rob, your lines were sparkling with truths.
Thank you Vincent, certain aspects of life can always be improved if one makes the decision to always be prepared. I’m pretty sure Rudyard Kipling first promoted that through scouting. When it comes to a life’s spark, I genuinely believe a great deal of people either take it for granted and ignore its true relevance in their day to day lives, or actually are completely unaware it exists within the Self. Those who society label achievers, approach the situation far differently, making a habit out of allowing themselves be consciously driven by their life spark. Bit of a ‘horses for courses’ mentality I guess. Cheers for your positive review my friend… take care
Depression is an awful thing to deal with. Even harder to try and uplift someone going through it. I wish is a relative concept to the extent of how you described it. If only all our wishes came true right. Nice piece Rob. Well done.
Nice to meet you Paul, I totally agree but have had the privilege in my life of seeing how a great deal of positive objective minds have ‘managed’ their affliction through mind power rather than what is often peddled as beneficial drugs, which provide highly negative side effects, including dulling the ability to perform basic positive functions. Most Benzos for example, when used over a period of time are highly dangerous, both from the dependency they generate and in regards to effectively destroying the nervous system. Though depression was mentioned in this piece, it was not the primary issue I was attempting to highlight. Wishes do come true when we condition ourselves to being in a position to not only see that, but to rise high enough to receive them. Appreciate your positive review Paul… cheers for that – take care
Yes, Rob, very inspiring post. That spark is so important to help give us the passion to thrive fully in this life! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Tamara, thank you for your positive review. Yes, the passion and so much more… cheers, you take care out there..
