We Are Not Mushrooms

Our world so small,
as truths implored are denied,
by those who rule and refuse
to abide reality, one
that may have some advantage
over we poor souls of ignorance,
in darkness kept and fed lies,
to their reward, of power.
What is hidden,
other worlds and life endless,
here even before us,
yet we live the lie, fed the placation s
of our true cosmic roots,
our questions renounced,
despite the growing surge of proof,
we are not alone.
Such blatant lies,
for those in whom we are to trust,
yet we just shrug and go to work,
when alien beings note every move we make,
interact and take umbrage at the fear,
perpetrated by our own,
that keep the likes of us in line,
blind and ill-informed, the prime.
By what are they scared,
that we may accept alien life more than they,
for aliens may be far more spiritual,
and together we could build a better world,
where our present leaders have no say,
and greed is just their way, not ours,
so they keep us in the dark,
but we know the truth,
and its bark is not worse that its bite.

Great piece, Tony. I believe it is very possible aliens are among us. If they are spiritual beings it would be a boon to civilization as we now know it. A world with more spirituality is what we need. Well done.
Thanks Phyllis, yes it certainly wouldn’t hurt would it. Cheers!
