From Light in Silent Struggle

Stars bind worlds
and keep them in their fold,
arcs of tender holding,
creating place and distance
in the cradle of life foretold,
as light permeates these spheres,
and as environs forge ahead,
life from simple beginnings
may find a way to shed its skin,
and evolve.
Worlds so many,
finding ways to become,
to thrive and give life a chance,
follow paths not trodden,
beneath a cosmos of shear romance,
where life springs eternal,
always finding a way,
struggle the epitome
of hope
and the rewards in play.
How many worlds exist,
far beyond our minds and imagination,
eking out lives in endless arrays,
in endless environments,
in such diverse ways,
and we sit staring blankly at the sky,
seeing little but twinkling lights
and darkness in its wake,
when life does surround us
to inspire an incomplete heart’s ache.
I can see in my minds eye,
so many lives beyond my presence,
yet they are of my essence,
wanting to understand who we are,
and share that incompleteness, that ache,
when hearts seek answers,
yet there is a wall between us,
a distance in time and space,
we wish to erase,
and find our core.

Great work, Tony. Amazing – I have been thinking lately on time and space, how to bring them to the same. There is only one solution for me, and that is for me to adjust to new times and be where I would love to be. I want to create a poem in my journal regarding that. Gazing at stars always brings serenity to me. I am in a very chatty mood today. Back to your verse – it is lovely and very well penned.
Glad you enjoyed it Phyllis, the point is we are not alone, and life burgeons everywhere in this cosmos. Cheers!
Yes, I got that. I am sorry I drifted away there. True, we are not alone and life is all throughout the cosmos. I am just drifting in stars today, I guess. Love your verse.
