The Waitress

The Waitress
The Waitress

She glides upon the polished floor,
the essence of elegance and grace,
slim, not voluptuous
but femininity embraced,
and her smile is warm,
far beyond what’s required,
her heart attuned,
and her will to please assumed,
as she quietly enacts her duties.

She speaks eloquently,
and her work is surpassed
as she makes you feel so special,
as if you alone her focus cast,
she is the epitome of youth,
yet youth around her pales,
for her eyes so clear and vivid,
her skin so soft in beauty’s veil,
as her smile the radiance of suns.

Each movement is perfection,
her dexterous hands adept,
tis like a dance, a ballet,
as she delivers, takes, accepts,
and her heart above all else
is pure and giving of itself,
no expectations just service,
the open vulnerability of herself,
as her warmth pervades each table.

She is beauty in every aspect,
and so unaffected by the idea,
that she is a gem in a world of pebbles,
and just to perceive her is enough reward,
for if love could just manifest from sight,
I could love this girl complete,
a soul I recognize, a purity I revere,
and to know she lives, a life yet lived,
gives hope to an old soul as this.

Poetry in motion, she is. Lovely expression of her beauty. Funny how love can hit us so quick like that. I completely relate, for I have been hit with love by recognizing the beauty of his soul. Well done, Tony.

Wonderfully expressive. Love can hit at anytime anywhere as long as the person is understanding and kind and in this case is a sight to see.

I am very often moved as I sip my coffee in cafe’s around my place. The beauty and motion of a waitress as she engages with the public, this beauty is indeed a creature divine, tired eyes she opens, thoughts of youth an old man revives. Reflecting back with a coy grin, he watches this server passing by. Her artistic dexterity, balancing act sublime, a refill sir she whispers, indeed miss, I thank her kindly. My cup refreshed, my soul rejoices, she sways to the crowds pleasures and serves with dignity. I’m with you Tony on your very keen observation and beauty of your favorite waitress. Bravbo
