Nothing to Fear, Everything to Gain
How gentle the sway of life,
the eternal pulsing of energy
that underlies all being,
and in sentient moments
I can see the colors of movement,
the glistening lights that halo
all matter, all space,
and know that death is but transient
and life eternal.
To see such wonder is to know
that fear is just a weakness of mind,
and nothing can rob us of reality,
the beauty of awareness,
the knowing that our plight is just,
and no matter what,
we are bound for greatness,
time and ascension our purpose met,
each soul its path alone.
Belief is neither poignant nor required,
for the path of life is set,
and no religion or philosophy
guides us to our destiny,
for it remains within the embrace of life,
and like a delicate leaf upon a river,
we ride the flow
until still waters rest our souls,
to ascend our next destination.
When fear is just a word,
and faith in life’s movement confirmed,
life becomes a freedom and joy,
each moment the potential of bliss,
no-one or nothing can change that,
not even death,
for there is no finality,
no ending for concern,
just this gift of experience to learn.

I always go into the day with the goal to learn something new each day. I’ve found it to be a very calming and fulfilling goal for the day. If only we could perfect that whole fear thing, then life would be that much easier. Great piece Tony.
