Dancing Light Upon Water

Dancing Light Upon Water
Dancing Light Upon Water

Light plays upon the water,
dancing impassioned
shimmering sight,
and the blue infused so elegantly
within its writhing, shards
streaming down like spotlights,
to imbue the crystal clarity beneath.

Colors reflect and refract
in such array,
the water becomes a burgeoning
living dream of light,
no artist could emulate,
could imagine in plain sight,
just stand in awe of perfection.

The dance is so beguiling,
mesmerizing in its constant change,
no moment like another,
each second the discovery of beauty’s reign,
and lost I am in its depth,
the seemingly infinite scope,
as water plays and whispers so.

I want to fall within its world,
immersed in all its movement,
streaming as a tide in place,
rolling ebbs and flowing state,
that takes me in its sleepy hold,
soothed and eased to rest in time so old,
dreams shall be my sustenance.

Light so clear and pristine binds,
the waters clear like rested minds,
and blemished not by any whim,
this purity aches of itself
as it simmers as a pool of right,
worlds within and birthing life,
to ride its perfect flow.

Beautiful imagery in your words, Tony. I felt like I was floating deep in the water, part of the water, breathing the beauty and coolness. Glorious experience. Great work.

Majestic words for such a magical creation. The ocean. How I want to, each day, see my feet beneath the gentle waves, and enjoy the gleaming rays of sun beating down. Excellent imagery my friend. Great piece.
