My Blessings…

I am blessed, no doubt,
but I have blessed my life with intention,
a penchant to learn,
to embrace love as the epitome of experience,
and try to be kind in all my thoughts and actions;
I fail constantly, of course,
but love is my intention, always,
and because of it I am blessed:
a clear and concise mind,
a wisdom gleaned from pain,
an openness to truth
and an acceptance of the consequences
of my decisions in life.

I am not special, just a man
who always wanted more understanding,
of myself, of life,
and in this quest I discovered writing,
a pathway of expression
that has taught me so much about me,
my faults, my potential and hopes,
all placed in a direction
that gives me such joy
and the ability to share that openly,
to pass on my epiphanies,
my mistakes and hopes for this world,
if only just one voice, my purpose.

And such a worthy intention indeed, Tony. A pursuit, I greatly admire. Writing is a true gift of self-awareness, and in your pursuit of understanding yourself and the world around you, you help others. I always appreciate the honest expressions that flow from your work. Have a beautiful day.
