In Revelation, My Quest, My Yearning

In Revelation, My Quest, My Yearning
In Revelation, My Quest, My Yearning

Yearning…

Silent the call of revelation,
its approach in stealth, as steps
like the movement of air from a butterfly wing,
until it finds its mark, my yearning,
and from what silence holds a trembling embarks,
upon a single thought, a transformation,
that rattles my cage of belief.

And in the wave of epiphany,
mind struggles for ground,
a familiar resound that placates the unknown,
as change is now the tether,
and what ensues the measure of our acceptance,
while thoughts cascade over stones set,
to fall to new flows of consideration.

What was in shadow
now resides in a brilliant light,
a fervent display of attention,
that a mind cannot dismiss as drift,
rather life in revelation’s outpouring,
and the body writhes with anticipation,
for truths permeate all in state,
to saturate and feed a mind with knowledge.

That silent afferent chill of epiphany
is all I long for in my quest,
to uncover what has escaped me
and reside within that perfect state of knowing,
to address my hunger so directly,
I must accept my ineptitude,
and follow always, my upward climb.

I like how you expressed these thoughts, Tony. It shows an openness and acceptance to change that will help in the “upward climb”. Well done, indeed.

I also like the way you set up the link and image for your new book – great work, indeed!.

Much appreciated Phyllis, glad you enjoyed the poem. The link was the only way I could think of to advertise the new book. Cheers!

Beautiful Tony, your journey and willingness to reach ever higher states of knowledge and awareness is truly remarkable. I like how you closed with acceptance of ineptitude, because without it, how could one ascend higher? Just lovely!

    Best,
    Mel

So true Mel, humility and service are two important aspects of growth in a spiritual sense, for without them we may stray into the lower realms of ego and self-gain. Pleased you related and enjoyed my thoughts dear friend. Cheers!
