How many loves go missing

How many loves go missing …

Was there ever a time for loves true innocence for man
was it ever as easy as a woman  wishes
what mystery calls away his shadow first
and lets his heart follow suit

Isn’t there  though or is there  not  perfection  in new beginnings
as if  it was always meant to be
before he knows it  there’s something missing
some reason to be set free

Man could easily despise all loves for is there
suicide within his heart
there seems always some  condition  to the dream
always an end beyond the start

In my next life I’d love to be your hero
someone  that now I cannot be
In the depths of what other love lay’s ahead
your heart  could live for free

Sometime in my life, I started to write about my life journey, or in poetry, in story perhaps to sort out the missing from the found perhaps and enter them into a place of safekeeping. The soul of the writer is perhaps best described in their own words, emotions and thoughts. If these poems or stories touch something inside you then maybe I have succeeded in sharing. I will not write about my self in profile, because self isn't so important in writing. Only the journey in words and the sharing are important. Why would we say "Now about me!"... I'd rather write about life, nature, serenity ...

Beautiful verse, Ed. I love the lines Kurt quoted, “In my next life I’d love to be your hero
someone that now I cannot be”. Lovely work.
