Living the Paradigm of Fear
In quest of paradigms to placate the fears,
humanity errs on the side of insanity,
as fear begets fear,
and faith is but a step toward breaking cycles,
to draw courage from our depths to face ourselves,
yet the mirror is harsh, truth wears a sting,
and so many accept fear as the demon they know.
The lightness of truth can only be worn by the free,
the unencumbered,
less worried about the perceptions of others
and only concerned with reality, for its sake,
and so humanity walks tethered to its own fears,
less able to wear life in color,
and eyes peer from the darkness to see light.
Worse, so many think they are free,
when truly they train delusion to service their lives,
to manufacture their chosen reality,
as if fear is the pillars on which life is built,
and sound its seems, for its strength,
when truly it sits upon a footing of sand,
a one slip, catastrophe.
There is no weight like fear,
a tethering of immense disability,
all decisions through its eyes,
and tainted a life within its bounds,
when freedom, at the expense of truth
awaits an open mind, true to life and
able to forgive oneself, to a guided path of betterment.

Fear surely is a hindrance to truth and reality, and keeps us from our intended paths. Nicely phrased verse, Tony. Oft’ I do a lot of thinking when I read your works, and it prompts me to go deeper into myself to work on issues that need to be resolved. Well done.
