In Surrendering the Struggle

In Surrendering the Struggle
In Surrendering the Struggle

What burden can knowledge bring,
just a change that may be painful,
for we struggle to keep the known in place,
the grace of believed security,
when life offers no such thing,
a delusion for those who cling
to that paradigm of stagnancy.

Life is change on every level, in every facet,
and trying to cling to a small raft in a storm,
not as easy to maintain,
and drowning not the purpose,
just to join the flow,
and discover where life may take us in surrender.

Struggle is quite pointless,
for the more we do
the harsher we’ll be torn from our security,
for stagnancy is not the plan,
movement and the learning will demand our follow,
regardless of our fears and doubts,
we’ll be there.

So why fight an unwinnable war,
when change is all that life demands,
all we need to learn of who we are,
and glean those higher thoughts,
that deliver us to better days,
better ways to live,
without the pain and suffering.

Knowledge is no burden,
just the freedom of our complicity,
the surrender of our fears to a loving life,
so crisis and affliction is the flag of change,
a life needed to rearrange,
so learn and bend to life’s whims,
for it can change everything, and us.
