Imperfect Perhaps, Yet Striving

Striving for betterment…
And who in perfection’s grace
can deny the wisdom of words espoused,
to better understanding,
and further judge another’s thoughts,
to define just who they are,
from one glimmer of perspective.
We are beings in flux,
of movement and growth ongoing,
and to make finite assertions a farce indeed,
for we are nothing if not diverse,
and moments may turn direction,
just as thoughts become obsolete.
Observation may yield momentary fragments,
but never truths of finite state,
for truth also evolves with our perceptions,
and judgement in that sense is pointless,
as we are all upon this plane, each one unique,
and in our own way dealing with life.
The miracle of perfection surrounds us,
the natural world in balance,
yet our imperfection is the purpose of our learning,
the choices we make our guiding light,
sometimes forgiving, often harsh,
the recompense our art of growing.
Deny no words, no thoughts,
for they may in the end be our salvation,
and everyone we meet has a lesson for us,
no matter how we may dismiss them,
for sharing is a purposeful gift,
and understanding the honing of perspective.

Very well expressed verse, Tony. I was thinking earlier today that all of life must be a lesson in slow motion – so I enjoyed reading your thoughts in this verse. Well done.
Glad you appreciated the work, Phyllis. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day.
