I’ll never tire of the tides

Like a day renews itself  so then do the tides
as day by day  nothing changes in the flowing
There is a message  therein if we listen
and take to heart for the knowing

Death or life  which is it to be
once a fate  has been so chosen
The tides then will redeem us
though those great northern seas lie frozen

I visit this shore day after day after day
I watch for the tides at all hours
Like the many many memories of love
they are mine and they  are yours

Yes my love I will hold  you once again in
the eternities in the  hereafter
Until that day remember ….remember
all the touching all the laughter

Around the base of the foamy piers
along the silken sands of  our favorite shore
where once we laid and we played in love
we will walk again once more

Until that day I may walk alone  until that day
I may have  visions but  not regret
forgive that man that whispers  softly as he stands alone
for these tides will never forget

That two hearts are required for the perfect love
as two tides  are needed for a day
as we will meet again my love
And the tides will show the way

Sometime in my life, I started to write about my life journey, in poetry, in story perhaps to sort them out and enter them into a place of safekeeping. The soul of the writer is perhaps best described in their words, emotions and thoughts. If these poems or stories touch something inside you then maybe I have succeeded in sharing. I will not write about my self in profile, because self isn't so important in writing. Only the journey in words and the sharing are important. Why would we say "Now about me!"... I'd rather write about life, nature, serenity ...

Lovely work Ed, an emotive romantic piece well constructed and penned. Really enjoyed it my friend.
