The Wonder of April Love

They say that April love,

has a special feel,

like no other.

They say that April love,

comes but once in a lifetime

and means something different –

for everyone.

I know in my heart,

once April love finds you,

it changes how you feel,

gives you a special glow.

April love just as spring comes round,

brings with it precious memories,

to be treasured your whole life long.

April love must be grabbed a hold of quickly,

it is a love which comes along

and just as fast it goes away.

If you fall for a springtime love,

it can last forever more,

as long as you are ready,

to weather the showers,

bringing colorful flowers in May.

You just have to be ready to receive it

and you’ll be glad you did.

When an April love,

is fleeting the memories left behind,

are like the petals of a rose,

which lie crushed in the snow.

But when April love,

is a lasting love,

it’s like having a garden full of flowers,

which remain in your memory –

even in the coldest wintertime.

Never give yourself the chance

to pass up a springtime love,

because love just like nature,

can grow again when spring comes back

and like the loveliest of flowers,

like the loveliest and reddest rose,

opens wide and blossoms,

beneath the sun continues to grow.

The best memories and the best love,

that you could ever have,

so it doesn’t matter,

when you fall in love

or how long ago it was,

but when April is outside your window,

take your love by the hand,

tell them how much you love them

and you’re springtime love will be the brightest.

A love that will last and go on,

a love that will never leave,

full of precious and golden memories,

to treasure throughout your years together

and to bring smiles –

when April is here.
