Our Fateful Lives Await
Fateful potential….
One step, one decision,
chains broken from predisposition,
and change becomes deliverance,
as new worlds unthought present,
and shadows relent,
as dawn arrives, unseen this countenance,
this pure indulgence of freedom.
Tis easy to follow the path of familiarity,
steps like memories fulfilling,
and even though they offer little,
secure in their ensuing,
they are dull to our yearnings,
our need for learning,
and so we stagnate.
Liberty may jolt our very essence,
being snug in the embrace of knowing,
yet without it we shall never fly,
discover what potential we have, if we try,
and know who we truly can be,
in the light of possibility,
when we take that first decisive step.
Courage is all we need,
to intercede and convince ourselves we are worth it,
and what potential awaits us a revelation,
far beyond our expectations
to give life its head and take that ride,
for limitations are just our doubts,
walls of fear that keep us out of our fateful lives.
