Beyond Beginnings, Before the Light
Far from the flight of imagination’s yield,
far from the reason that rules our minds,
beyond the yoke of understanding,
the recognition of infinite rhyme,
there is a place void of judgement,
void of the whims of parlous sentiment,
and in this void of form and color,
a mind can transition in unlimited increments.
Out beyond the reach of stars,
where echoes ring of past creations,
and in these pregnant scars of what’s to come,
a mind may see in deliverance, ascension,
the billowing forms of expansion,
a myriad of bustling, surging life,
from ignition to explosion,
before the very beginnings of plight.
And I in weightless floating mode,
honor mine eyes in life’s sweet fate,
as galaxies swirl and reiterate,
the endless movement of striving,
the driving of matter from state to state,
and sounds begin to alert my ears,
grinding substance and spiritual tears
that life arises from nothing.
So far am I from all known life,
I too lost to imbibe this sight,
yet wonder at the immensity of being,
the shear scale of becoming far from dreams,
and insignificant in every way,
my witness a miracle or so its seems,
to know this intimate beginning,
from darkness to light.

A journey through the universe to the beginning of creation – how spectacular and how wonderful it is when you delve deeply into such thoughts, Tony. I love this piece and so enjoy following your thoughts as they travel far beyond to the mysteries of All. Very nicely penned.
Much appreciated Phyllis, glad you enjoyed my thoughts. Take care my friend.
