The Poet’s Sharing

The Poet's Sharing...aspirations of the quill
The Poet’s Sharing…aspirations of the quill

Aspirations drip from laden quills,
souls in quest of immortality,
words so eloquent to last in thought,
heart imbued with wisdom’s deft ascent.

Writers thoughts collect,
like a sky of clouds ammasing afore a storm,
and from the darkness depths,
a flurry of words upon a page ensue,
as if lightening strikes, just before rain is due.

And within this ardent purpose,
as ink to page in scribbled wonder,
rhyme find hold and meanings sold,
as songs echo from heaven’s realm,
to recognise the splendid beauty therein.

The poet finds his muse and in frantic moves,
vying for the words to stick,
implores all of beauty’s hand bequeathed,
to marry thoughts and hearts to meld,
in glory of the love beseeched.

The joy and solace at work’s end,
those words so honed to share the heart,
can in no way be besmirched,
as creative mind and love combined,
flow so effortlessly to find place in thought.

Poetry is an art, not just of words but of heart,
and a poet knows he or she wears that heart upon the page,
for beauty finds the soul and in blessing
gives lightness to its ascension,
as we express our art, our love of words to share.

Oh my gosh, Tony. This is beauty in thought, words and heart. I love it. We could use your poem as our TCE motto, it is perfect for who we are. And the lightening bolt striking the quill – a logo? Ah! I love this poem. Thank you for writing this lovely piece.

I wish more people would comment on perfect poetry such as this. You clearly define our craft as well our expressive souls. 55 members 6 or more commenting, it’s a pity. Thank you sir for your dedication to your art. Bravo. Kudos to you.

    Wow, Tony!

This is THE poem that is the voice for all poets and writers alike. Yes, the amount of comments that one receives, or even views, is not anywhere even close to the poem’s worth.

Sometimes I think it just depends on who one’s friends are, the “perfect” Tags, the time of day, the influx of poems being submitted at the exact same time, SEO Stuff that I still don’t understand, and so many other things that have nothing whatsoever do to with the actual poem, or poet, himself.

As I had mentioned earlier concerning my two poems that received excessive views, I do not think that many of them are kindly viewers, but just some lurking spectators who a Sociopath pitted against me a long while back. They are just sort of waiting for me to get clumsy, and fall on my face…which I do, at times. I believe this to be the reason for a couple of my poems quantity of views. I really don’t think they are appreciating my “talent”, but rather, laughing at me. I don’t mind, though. I’m used to it. LOL..

I agree Tamara, often I don’t understand how some good work gets ignored, but as you say it can depend on so many factors. One disadvantage I had was that when I post you guys are all asleep. So I’ve just realized that you can post date at a particular time. Today was my first attempt at that and it works much better. I don’t know who would be laughing at you, and If that’s the case they are not worth even thinking about. You work is wonderful and deserves all the accolades it gets. Take care.

Thanks, Tony. This is very kind of you. Your writing is exceptional and I’m just glad I was able to explain my issues with “my viewers”; it’s a very long story…but, just wanted you to know.

      Have a wonderful evening!
