Change of Season Blues

Often the change of seasons leaves me a bit blue. This is my bluesy attempt to express it in song. Only needs the melody.

All about nature,

has frozen in time,

looking still like summer –

while cold winds blow.

Got those change of season blues,

waiting for the autumn leaves,

to go twirling about –

just stepping off summer’s road.

Flowers have all wilted

and harvest is done.

Hardly any sun,

as autumn rains come pouring down.

Got those change of season blues,

waiting for the autumn leaves,

to go twirling about –

just stepping off summer’s road.

Wondering what the new season will bring,

hoping that orange pumpkins,

will bring smiles to me –

chasing these blues away.

Got those change of season blues,

waiting for the autumn leaves,

to go twirling about –

just stepping off summer’s road.

Looking to find some autumn fun,

hoping for a day of sun.

Feeling kind of blue,

trying hard to turn my frown upside down.

Got those change of season blues,

waiting for the autumn leaves,

to go twirling about –

just stepping off summer’s road.

Wish these blues,

would just fly away,

finding it so hard –

like making my way in the dark.

Got those change of season blues,

waiting for the autumn leaves,

to go twirling about –

just stepping off summer’s road.

Got those change of season blues,

waiting for the autumn leaves,

to go twirling about –

just stepping off summer’s road.
